Kingwood Lakes Open "a Success"

With great weather and a great golf course the Kingwood Lakes Open was a success. Hitting all the greens and putting well Dell Wilson (7hcp) from Tulsa OK  emerged as the winner scoring a gross 76 net 69. "It was nice to be in the Houston area this week and able to play this event. I had a good pairing and enjoyed the beautiful day, winning was frosting on the cake" Dell Wilson said. Dell won $450 for his effort. Curtis Barker (15hcp) was right behind Dell scoring a net 70 and winning $150 for 2nd, followed by Jerry Sylvester (7hcp) placing third with a net 75  and taking home $75.00.

This event was one of the most enjoyable tournaments we have had, all the players were appreciative of the course and of having this event. We are looking forward to the next event which will be posted soon on the web site.

Kingwood Lakes Open: Purse $1450.00

Next up on the TNT golf tour is the Kingwood Lakes Open, with spring in full swing and the weather being just right for golf. Make the Kingwood Lakes Open your next golf tournament to play. The tournament purse is $1450.00 with a full field of 16 players and the entry fee being $160.00

 

Kingwood CC is in great shape this time of year and should make for a great event. See you there.

Sylvester King of the Forest

Recently retired Jerry Sylvester has had time to work on his game and it paid off. A (7hcp) Jerry was able to get up and down from everywhere all day long, posting a net 68 to win the the season opener of the TNT tour at the Kingwood CC Forest course. 1st place paid $600.00 with a 13 player field "This is great, now I can play the next event at Tour 18 Jerry said".

Terry Fuschak (15hcp) started his round with three double boogies but was able to pull himself together and play some steady golf, "I had a lot of help from my caddie, he helped me keep my head throughout the round". Terry finished 2nd place with a net 69 which earned him $490.00 including opional game money.

Right on the heals of Jerry and Terry where Tommy Van and Darrell Johnston both scoring net 70 and finishing tied for 3rd place. 

Next up on the schedule is Tour 18 GC, On February 6th Humble,Texas. 1st place pays 1000.00 with a full field (16 players).

Season Opener at Kingwood Results are Now Available

The first event of 2010 was a great success. Congratulations to Jerry Sylvestor for his one-stroke victory over Terry Fuschak. It was a close event with 4 players within 3 strokes of the lead.

TNT is Committed in 2010

On January 23rd TNT will open the 2010 season at Kingwood CC, Forest Course. The starting time is 11:00 am and with a full field (16 players) will pay $1000.00 to the winner. The Forest course is one of the premier golf courses in the Houston area and is where the movie Tin Cup was filmed. At this event included in your entry fee is a meal after your round.

Prize money will be paid the same day BUT optional money will be mailed out on the Monday following the tournament.

Note: January is winter. If the course is OPEN we will have the tournament!

Kingwood to Start 2010 Texas Net golf Tour Season

TNT tour is excited to announce our 2010 opening tournament at the Kingwood CC Forest course. First place will pay $1000.00 with a full field (16 players) and all players will receive a meal after the tournament. The Forest course is where the movie Tin cup was filmed and is a great course to play.

TNT tour to have tournaments throughout Texas

Texas Net golf Tour will be scheduling tournament throughout texas in 2010, most of the early tournaments will be in the Houston area until early spring when the weather warms up, with event in East Texas, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas area and a Tour Championship in Nov.

Membership for the 2010 season is $100.00 and can be paid out lump sum or by having a non-member fee add to your entry fee which will be applied to your membership. All paid up 2009 memberships will be carried over to 2010.

The 2010 TNT tournament schedule and details coming soon

The staff is working on the 2010 schedule and hope to have it out by mid December. Details for the up coming year will also be out soon with some change that we feel will make this a better tour. So stay turned and if you have any ideals that will make this a better tour, please pass them on to us.

Ed Smith Soared at Eagles Bluff

With rains during the week Eagles Bluff softed up and Ed Smith (10hcp) took advange of course conditions taking the 1st place trophy with a net score of 67. "I got up and down from everywhere. I had the touch today. I had fun" Ed said of his round. "I tried to keep pace with Ed but he just kept getting up and down he played well, I did have a great time" was Randy Lamoreaux's response, who ended up taking 2nd place with a net 68 (8hcp).

Bancroft Brothers Clean Up at Pecan Valley

August 29th, San Antonio Tx at the Pecan Valley GC was a great day for golf and the Bancroft brothers were up to the task.

Brian Bancroft won the tournament shooting a net 68. "I played well all day but it was the reading of the greens by my caddie (son Jon) that allow me to win".

His brother Billy placed 2nd with a net 69. "You mean I lost by one stroke? Oh well I will get him next time." All the players had a great time and enjoyed themselves.

Thanks to the Pecan Valley Staff and we're looking forward to having an event there next year.

Early tee times payoff for Sullivan and Harris at the Gleannloch Pines Open

With an 8:00 tee time Donald Sullivan didn't take long to wake up the birdies and went low on the Gleannloch course shooting a net 68 (course par 71) total winnings $738.50.

"I never played this well before in a tournament" Donald said, Its exciting and I'm looking forward to the next event. Not far behind was Paul Harris net 70 who played well all day "I just had a couple of tough holes". Gleannloch Pines proved to be a good test of golf and all the players enjoyed playing the course.
